What are the core democratic values?

      This site defines nine fundamental beliefs and eight constitutional principals
      as defined by the National Council of Social Studies.

Michigan Department of Education Social Studies Standards for Civics

      This site links to the MDE Social Studies Content Standards related to the
      core democratic values.

Michigan Department of Education Social Studies Authentic Assessment

      This pdf file includes sample lesson and assessment activities for core
      democratic values and civics (grouped by early & later elementary, middle,
      and high school tasks).
